March 25, 2020 3:30PM:

On March 25, Governor Walz issued an executive order which includes extending school closures through May 4, 2020 with distance learning to begin March 30. This includes all Duluth Public Schools.

During the week of March 30-April 3, families will receive information about the distance learning process for grades PreK-12 and students receiving special education services, options available, and how to choose.
Throughout this health crisis, we recognize that taking care of students' physical and emotional well-being is of the utmost importance.  Distance learning activities may help establish a daily schedule and a sense of normalcy for students, along with continuing their education.
Distance learning will pause for scheduled spring recess April 6 - 10.

Free Breakfast & Lunch for children 18 yrs and younger continues, routes will be adjusted beginning Monday March 30.
Updated information will be posted by Friday March 27 2PM.
All meal service, including special education, will pause for scheduled spring recess April 6 - 10.

Emergency Childcare continues.
During the closure, and in response to the Governor’s Executive Order, we are offering free school-aged (4-12yrs) child care to children of emergency responders and health professionals that are currently attending Duluth Public Schools ISD709 and Stella Maris Academy.  The service is also available to ISD 709 employees.
Emergency child care will pause for scheduled spring recess April 6 - 10.
