Head Start
A comprehensive program for children 0-5 years old and their families with incomes below the federal poverty guideline.
- Families receive services in early childhood education, health and nutrition, parent involvement, special needs coordination, and family support and advocacy.

Preschool children attend center-based programs.
3 year olds have the option to attend an AM or PM session. AM sessions meet Monday - Thursday from 7:30-11:30 AM. PM sessions meet Monday - Thursday from 11:45-3:15 PM.
4 year olds have the option to attend an All Day, AM or PM session. Most All Day sessions are Monday - Thursday, a few sites offer a Monday - Friday program. All Day sessions meet from 7:30-2:15 PM. AM sessions meet Monday - Thursday from 7:30-11:30 AM. PM sessions meet Monday - Thursday from 11:45-3:15 PM.
- In addition to center-based programming, Duluth Head Start serves families through our Child Care Collaborations and Families in Transition program.
