Families receive comprehensive services in early childhood education, health and nutrition, parent involvement, special needs coordination, and family support and advocacy.
Preschool children, ages 3 and 4, attend center-based programs. Classes are offered at 7 elementary schools across the district. All-Day and Half-Day classes are available. Contact our office to see what programming options are available and would best meet your family's needs.
In addition to center-based programming, Duluth Head Start offers home-based services for 3-5 year olds and individualized services through our Families in Transition program (FIT). Early Childhood FIT serves pregnant women and families with children 0-5 experiencing homelessness. If you would like more information on these programs please call or email us. 218-336-8815 or earlychildhood@isd709.org
