Birth to Age 5

Welcome!  The early childhood years from birth to the start of kindergarten are an important time of rapid growth. A variety of helpful programs for parents and their children are available.

Parent Aware Rated - Four Stars of Excellence: We're one of the first preschool programs in the state to earn a four-star Parent Aware rating - the highest possible!  This system helps families find programs focused on high quality early learning and kindergarten readiness.

From prenatal to kindergarten transition, Duluth Public Schools Early Childhood Programs work collaboratively within our district to provide a comprehensive and inclusive continuum of services focusing on child, family and school readiness.  Also focusing on creation of community partnerships (old and new) that strive to break down the barriers families with young children face when learning about meaningful resources available to them.
