• If your address was found within Duluth Public Schools boundaries:
  Continue to Step 2.
• If your address was not found: Contact the Student Enrollment Center (enroll@isd709.org or 218-336-8700) for assistance.
• For students that wish to enroll at a school in Duluth that is not their neighborhood school, please see our Intra-District Transfer Option webpage.

Before Starting the Enrollment Process:

• Proof of address (e.g., home purchase agreement, property tax statement, lease)
• Proof of child(ren)’s age (e.g., birth certificate, passport)
• Immunization records (available from your child’s medical provider)
• Transcript records from previous school (Optional)
• Parent/Legal Guardian Relationship Verification 
  Only legal parents should enroll a student. If you are not the legal parent of this student, one of the following documents will be required:
  • Legal Guardian - Legal court documentation
  • Foster - Legal court documentation or foster placement letter from the county social worker
  • Court Orders - Documents related to guardianship or custody limitations, if applicable

Birth - Age 5 Options

• After submission, you'll receive an email with the subject line “Online Enrollment Application is Submitted” including an application number. This confirms we received your submitted application but does not guarantee enrollment.

What to Expect: Student Enrollment Center Staff will review your application.

• You will receive an email with the confirmation of your enrollment approval and school designation.
• You may be contacted by the Student Enrollment Center Staff for any questions or missing information in your online enrollment application.

The Student Enrollment Center staff are available year-round to support parents and guardians with the enrollment process and questions regarding Duluth Public Schools.
