Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA)-Integrated
The District's HRA Third Party Administrator is Educators Benefit Consultants (EBC). An HRA allows employers the opportunity to offer employees a funding vehicle by which they can pay for eligible health care expenses incurred by the employee, the employee’s spouse, or dependents, on a tax-free basis. Contributions into the account are made tax-free and any interest or gains a Participant may experience are tax-free. Contributions are made by the District, into a trust managed by M.G. Trust and amounts credited to an employee’s account can be used to pay for eligible health care expenses during active and/or post-employment.
Over a Plan year, the District contributes $5,225 for family health insurance and $2,612.50 for single health insurance. The contributions are made bi-weekly following the District's payroll schedule.
