Welcome Sophomores!

There are many things that you can do this year to plan for life after high school.  It goes by quickly and by the end of this year, you are halfway to graduation!  Check out the list below to see how to get started planning your future:

  • Attend college and career information events and fairs.  The Career Center - Room 1010 - can tell you which college and career representatives will be visiting Denfeld.
  • Visit the Career Center to research funding for college, including scholarships, grants, loans, etc.
  • Reach out to mentors in your field/s of interest.
  • Consider taking a practice test to prepare for the PSAT or ACT.
  • Check out the Career Center to explore and identify career fields of interest and potential scholarship opportunities.
  • Go back into the MCIS account you created last year and see what has changed.  MCIS is a one stop tool for college research, career research, resume building, and so much more!
  • Keep a running list of accomplishments, awards, activities, and recognitions to use in preparing a resume and college applications-the MCIS program is a great place to document and store all of this!
  • Create a Raise.me account to start earning micro-scholarships to use at over 180 colleges! To get started visit: Raise.Me
  • Join a club, extracurricular, sport, or activity to get involved in our Denfeld Community! (WIN is a great time to do this!)
