Congdon Park receives a list from Early Childhood Screening** of incoming Congdon Park KG students who have completed pre-school screening. From this information, we send out more information to families of incoming Kindergarteners.
If you know of any families that have not had a child in school yet and have a child ready to enter Kindergarten in September of 2020 please pass on this information.
**All children beginning school are required to complete pre-school screening. The last day for EC Screening is generally the end of April, so call as soon as possible to make your appointment.
As an FYI, Early Childhood Screening is a health and developmental screening that is required by the State of Minnesota for all children before entering kindergarten. State law recommends that screening is completed during the year the child is three. It includes immunization records review, height, and weight measurement, hearing and vision screening and standardized developmental screening of speech, language, concepts and motor skills and social/emotional development. Results are summarized during a parent interview. Early Childhood Screening identifies, at an early age, possible health or learning concerns, so that children can get help before starting school. Free screenings are offered throughout the school year by appointment. If you haven’t done so already, please call 218-336-8816 or e-mail to email@example.com to schedule an Early Childhood Screening appointment. They generally stop taking appointments at the end of April, so call soon.
Please read the letter below for instructions. If you have not received a packet in the mail or if you have misplaced forms, please find them below. If you are unable to attend Kindergarten Round-Up, please download, print, and complete the forms and mail them to school:
