Community Activities

As a service to our community agencies, we share events with our school community here. If you wish to have your organization's events included on this page, please email congdonweeklynews@gmail.com. We do not host flyers or PDFs, but will gladly share a link to your page.

  • Nordic Spirit Youth Ski League offers cross-country ski lessons at Spirit Mountain for ages 5-14 starting in January.  Please see flyer for more information.  Equipment fitting is Dec. 1 so sign up now! 

  • Registration is open for YMCA Fall Programs.  For more information on specific programs visit duluthymca.org, pick up a program guide, or stop by and talk with a member service representative!

  • Wrestling season is quickly approaching! We're excited to announce the North Shore Wrestling Club has its first ever Duluth location. Our program will be housed out of Myers-Wilkins Elementary and Proctor's Turf Arena. Please see flyer for more information.

  • Registration is open for the 14th Annual Marshall Holiday Ski Camp! The Marshall Holiday Ski Camp is for ages 5-12 on Dec 26- 28 from 1-4 PM at the Grand Avenue Nordic Center.  NEW THIS YEAR - DXC Parent Ski - For parents of campers who would like to learn how to ski or build their skiing skills, Duluth XC Ski Club is partnering with the Marshall Holiday Ski Camp to provide instruction for adults.  SPACE IS LIMITED!!   • Spirit Mountain Holiday Camp registration is open!  Do you want your child to learn a lifetime sport you can enjoy as a family?  Then join us at Spirit Mountain during Holiday Break. At the four-day Team Duluth Holiday Camp, children from 6-16 years old will learn to handle the runs with ease and become more confident on the snow!  Children are grouped by age and ability. Skills taught by the certified instructors range from learning to put skis or snowboards on to riding the tow and chairlift to making parallel turns down the more advanced hills.  December 27-30 Please see website for more information.
