KEY Zone
K.E.Y. Zone is a partnership between the Lake Superior YMCA and Duluth Public Schools, designed to support children beyond the school day. Serving students in grades K–5 at all nine elementary schools, the program provides a safe, welcoming environment where youth can learn, grow, and have fun.
Each day from 2:15–6:00 p.m., students build important life skills and participate in enriching activities that spark creativity, confidence, and connection. K.E.Y. Zone focuses on helping youth develop socially and emotionally while encouraging positive relationships and consistent school-day engagement.
In addition to the school-year program, K.E.Y. Zone offers opportunities during the summer and on school break days from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at select locations for an additional fee, ensuring consistent, year-round support for families.
