Both In-Person and Distant Learning Options

Registration begins at 7 a.m. on Thursday, April 14th on the Duluth Community Education website: www.duluthcommunityed.org

The Duluth Public Schools Driver Education Program will be offering both an in-person class and distance learning classes this Winter/Spring. The distance learning classes will require Google Meet software and students must have an ISD 709 email account. All classes will do behind the wheel lessons out of Denfeld or East High Schools.

 

Class #3715 - Online Class Using Google Meet

Dates: June 13, 14,15, 16, 20, 21, 22, 23, 28, 29 & 30

Time: 9:00am - 12:00pm

Class #3716 - East High School, Room 2021

Dates: June 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 27, 28 & 29  

Time: 10:00am - 12:30pm 

 

Program Information: Students must be at least 15 years of age by the last scheduled classroom session. Program consists of 30 hours of classroom instruction and six hours of behind the wheel instruction. Class attendance is mandatory (if the student does not complete a full 30 hours of classroom they will not be able to take the permit test). Computer with camera, microphone, and ISD 709 email account is required for the online classes.

 

Registration: Online registration will begin on Thursday, April 14th at 7:00 a.m. on the Duluth Community Education website::  www.duluthcommunityed.org 

Classes usually fill up quickly, you should go to the website before the registration date to create a new account or check your current account.

When registering please use the student’s full legal name and include the student's date of birth.

 

Fees: The cost of the full program (classroom and behind the wheel)  is $400 and must be paid when registering using Visa, MasterCard or Discover.
