Program Registration: Please call 218-336-8790 for upcoming monthly registration dates. Registration begins at 9:00AM and ends at 12Noon.  Please plan to stay the entire 3 hours. 


GED Preparation:  The Adult Learning Center offers classes to help you prepare for the current computerized version of the GED.  Classes are free and include free or low-cost practice GED tests. Let us help you get ready for GED success!

Pearson Vue GED TestingThe Adult Learning Center is also the official PearsonVue GED testing site for the Duluth, Hermantown, and Proctor communities.

Adult DiplomaInterested in completing your high school diploma?  The Adult Learning Center provides the opportunity to complete credits for students 21 and older who meet certain qualifications.  Check out your transcript and check into the Adult Diploma!

Transition to College:  Nervous about attending college?  Want to spend time getting ready for the Accuplacer college entrance test?  The Adult Learning Center can help you do that in a number of ways.  Support is available in our classes and through a new computer-based Distance Learning option. Get ready for college today!

Pathway to College Success:  This semester long class at Lake Superior College assists adult students with a GED or diploma to successfully transition to college.  Accuplacer college entrance test preparation, study skills, and college success strategies are the focus of the class. Make college success happen at LSC with Pathways to College Success!

Preparation for Job Training:  The Adult Learning Center works in collaboration with Soar Career Solutions, Community Action Duluth, the Duluth Workforce Center and Lake Superior College helping people build the academic skills necessary to be successful in a variety of career opportunities and trainings.  Call to inquire about upcoming trainings!

English Language Learners:  The Adult Learning Center offers classes and tutoring for immigrants and refugees with limited English skills.  U.S. Citizenship preparation is also available upon request.  We can help make learning English easier!

Computer Skills: Do computers and technology make you uncomfortable?  The Adult Learning Center offers computer skill preparation at your pace!  Work through computer skill modules with the assistance of teachers and tutors at either the Adult Learning Center or the Duluth Workforce Center.  Earn Northstar Digital Literacy certificates to show your new skills. Let the Adult Learning Center help you learn computer skills today!
