**Duluth Schools Closed Thru May 4, Distance Learning Begins March 30***

March 25 2020

On March 25, Governor Walz issued an executive order which includes extending school closures through May 4, 2020 with distance learning to start March 30.  This includes all Duluth Public Schools.

We appreciate the ongoing support of our ISD 709 families, staff and community as we work through this emergency.

During the week of March 30-April 3, families will receive information about the distance learning process for grades PreK-12 and students receiving special education services, options available, and how to choose.

During this health crisis, we recognize that taking care of students' physical and emotional well-being is of the utmost importance. Distance learning activities may help establish a daily schedule and a sense of normalcy for students, along with continuing their education.

We will continue to communicate regularly with families and staff as this situation evolves. Information is being posted at www.ISD709.org/updates. It’s also being shared through email, automated calls, social media, local media and other communication venues.
Thanks for your support and patience as we work to respond to this situation.
