Our Mission
Duluth Public Schools is working to inspire every student to achieve their potential and preparing students to lead productive, fulfilling lives as citizens of Duluth and the wider world.
Vision
We will build on our shared beliefs and values of unity, high achievement and responsible use of resources to create Duluth Public Schools and classrooms that are safe, supportive and inclusive. Working together as educators, parents and citizens, we can make a difference for every student, every day.
Strategic Plan
Duluth Public Schools launched a comprehensive strategic planning process on April 25, 2022. The overall process and strategic plan were created with input from Duluth Public Schools students, staff, families and community members focused on future system-wide enhancements to improve outcomes for students.
The district engaged with TeamWorks International on the strategic planning process. TeamWorks uses a process called "classroom to boardroom," which if you have been through a traditional planning process, this process is in reverse, or upside down, in that we started with the classroom and end up at the boardroom. Once the planning process is complete, we have a clear and unified vision of the district's purpose and how to work together to bring about our desired outcomes and our core values.
