Threat at Denfeld High School believed to not be credible

Denfeld High School, along with three other schools in St. Louis County have received a threat. We believe this is not a credible threat as the call came from out of state.

It is believed this is a swatting incident and there is a heavy police presence at the high school currently. As a precaution, we have decided to close off-campus lunch today and keep all students in the building.

“Swatting” is the action or practice of making a prank call to emergency services in an attempt to bring about the dispatch of a large number of armed police officers to a particular address.

With the presence of the Duluth Police Department and these precautions, we feel students and staff are safe at this time.
