Free Summer Meals for Duluth Youth

Summer is just around the corner, and Duluth Public Schools is helping ensure all children have access to nutritious meals while school is out. Starting June 15 through August 21, 2026, free breakfast and lunch will be available to all kids and teens ages 18 and under.

There is no registration, sign-up, or paperwork required—to eat, just show up!

Important Guidelines

To keep our federal funding secure and ensure we can continue offering this program, please keep the following program rules in mind:

• Eat in the Cafeteria: All meals must be eaten on-site in the school cafeteria.

• Kids’ Meals are for Kids: Federal program guidelines require adults not to eat from a child’s plate. Sharing food from a child's meal risks the loss of our community food program.

• Adult Meals: Adults are welcome to join their children and purchase their own meals.

2026 Summer Meal Sites & Schedules

Please note that all sites will be closed on June 19 and July 3 in observance of holidays.

Elementary Sites and Times

The following schools serve meals Monday through Friday, June 15 – August 21:

• Laura MacArthur Elementary

• Myers-Wilkins Elementary

• Piedmont Elementary

Standard Service Hours:

• Breakfast: 7:30 AM – 10:00 AM

• Lunch: 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM

Secondary Sites and Times

Denfeld High School

• Days: Monday through Thursday only

• Note: Closed for the entire month of August

• Hours: Breakfast: 7:30 AM – 10:00 AM | Lunch: 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM

Lincoln Park Middle School

• Days: Monday through Friday, June 15 – August 21

• Adjusted Hours: * Breakfast: 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM

  • Lunch: 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM
