East High School is holding a Barnes & Noble Bookfair on December 1st to raise funds to purchase books for their Media Center. The Sterling Strings, under the direction of Elaine Bradley, will provide seasonal music at 1:00PM. Members of the Key Club, Association and Exec Board will provide story time readings, face painting, kids crafts table and gift wrapping throughout the day. East’s mascot, Gregory the Greyhound, will also make an appearance. A voucher is needed at checkout, and can be obtained via the East webpage, at the East Media Center, or at a table set up at Barnes & Noble the day of the fundraiser. Shoppers can also support the East Media Center online between Dec 1st and Dec 6th by entering Bookfair ID 11207222 to their online order. The Greyhounds appreciate your support!

The Duluth East Daredevils joined 29 robotics teams at Prior Lake High School for the Mini Minne Regional in

November.  During the regional, team members learn their competition roles, how to troubleshoot issues, work together, and see gracious professionalism in action. The Daredevils Team 2512 took first place in the qualification match and became captains of Alliance One. They joined with Teams 2052, 3691 and 2491 as alliance partners and took 2nd place.  During the award ceremony the Daredevils received the Gracious Professionalism Award for the second year in a row.
