Duluth School Board Honors Stand Up For Kids

ISD 709 had an education levy that was up for renewal in November.  Through Stand Up For Kids, many people came together to share information with the public about the importance of renewing and increasing this levy. Tom Albright, chairperson, and members of Stand Up For Kids worked tirelessly, dedicating a tremendous amount of their time and talents to this endeavor. They did so because they care deeply about the quality of our public education system in Duluth.

Passage of the education levy questions on November 5 will help support the community vision and priorities identified through Think Kids and the 4-Year Continuous Improvement Plan.  Goals include reducing class size, increasing student achievement and reducing the achievement gap, and updating curriculum.

The play is recommended for mature audiences only due to adult language and subject matter.  A reception for the artists and audience will follow each performance.  The production is made possible through a grant provided by the Minnesota State Arts Board.
