Applications are due by January 15, 2018.  They'll take some time to fill out, so start early. More information can be found on the Duluth Superior Area Community Foundation website or by phone to 218-726-0232.

December School Board Agenda Items - Detailed Information Online
(This is not a comprehensive list of Board agenda items)
>>Truth In Taxation Hearing: Minnesota's Truth in Taxation Law requires school districts to provide a public hearing before adopting a tax levy for the following year. The hearing includes a presentation about the current budget and proposed tax levies.
>>Fiscal Year 2017 Audit: The School Board will receive results of the annual independent audit for the past school year. This is the last step in closing out last year's financial statements.
>>Current Budget Year Update: The Board will hear an update based on numbers from a variety of sources, including the MN Department of Education. Generally, the projections and final numbers over which we have control are fairly close. As we gathered final data for last year, however, we found an unexpected loss of revenue, due in part to a change in the special education formula combined with increased expenses reflected in out-of-district tuition adjustments.
