Duluth East Students Honored for Community Service, Leadership and Spirit
Members of the Duluth East Cheerleaders received recognition for their volunteer support for local events including Grandma’s Marathon, Strides Against Cancer Walk, Alzheimer’s Walk and
Wednesday Night at the Races. They volunteered once a month at Second Harvest Food Bank and in one month alone packed over 800 meals for the Nutritional Assistance Program for Seniors. They also conducted a donation campaign for St. Judes Childrens' Hospital and helped teach East Youth Football program cheerleaders.
The team also had three members chosen for a significant honor. Haven’t Registered Your Child for School?  Now’s The Time!
The first day of school for students is September 5. Families who have not yet registered their child are encouraged to do so as soon as possible rather than wait for the first day of school.
Registering now helps ensure teachers have a place and materials ready for each student and makes for an organized and welcoming first day. School office staffs are back in the buildings right now and available to help.

Proud of Our Lincoln Park Dragon Boat Team!
Their school’s team, In It to Win It, had a “soggy but awesome” time in the competition at Barkers Island on Saturday, clocking in at 2:13 for the first race and 2:02 for the second.  Many thanks to Duluth Plumbing Supply for sponsoring the team.
