Families Find Support, Resources at Lincoln Park Middle School Health Fair
Students, staff, and community partners created this event to provide families multiple opportunities to connect with information and resources.
Lincoln Park students created informational health-related displays and cooked up samples of vegetable soup using local produce.  Over 40 community agencies and businesses provided free resources from flu shots (Essentia Health), haircuts (Fantastic Sam’s) and dinner (Olive Garden and Valentini’s) to family fun activities (Zumba, make-your-own-stress-ball) and more plus a variety of great door prizes.
Lincoln Park is an emerging Full Service Community School, partnering with community organizations to provide supportive services to help children and their families thrive. Active engagement of parents, youth, teachers/staff, and community members is shaping the types of services offered and is integral to this work.
