Modern & Traditional Style Lacrosse Shared Through Office of Education Equity (OEE)

Modern & Traditional Style Lacrosse was presented by Franky Jackson and family (Dakota) with John Hunter (Ojibwe/Winnebago) as a staff development opportunity through the ISD 709 Office of Education Equity.  K-12 P.E. teachers learned and played the Traditional Dakota style of Lacrosse.  The OEE also purchased modern lacrosse equipment to ensure P.E. teachers have access to classroom materials in their schools.

Future staff development opportunities on Traditional Style Lacrosse are being developed to assist teachers in expanding their knowledge and skill in the development of traditional materials.
