For Parents

Tuesday April 28, 2015: ACT Test Day and ACTion Day

ACT Test Day for Grade 11 Students: MN State Law requires 11th grade students to take the ACT Plus Writing as a requirement for graduation. Participation is expected of all 11th grade students except those exempted by their IEP and notified by their case managers. Click here for details.

ACTion Day Volunteer Opportunities: 9th, 10th and 12th grade students at Denfeld, Duluth East and the ALC will not attend school April 28 in order to accommodate the ACT Test. ISD 709 is partnering with the United Way, Kiwanis and Rotary to create ACTion Day, an opportunity for high school students who have the day off from school to give back to the community through volunteer service. More information about how to sign up for volunteer activities can be found here.

For residential & day treatment programs, 9th, 10th and 12th grade students will attend school as usual on April 28.
